Jessica Lindley was diagnosed with papillary thyroid cancer at age thirty-two when she was two months pregnant and just accepted to University of Texas at Austin’s Executive MBA program. After having a healthy baby boy, she began her cancer treatment, which included a thyroidectomy, radiation treatment, and hormone therapy. After a recurrence in 2009, Jessica is currently undergoing treatment for recurring well-differentiated thyroid cancer. In 2011 Jessica, and her very healthy son, relocated to Portland, Oregon from Austin, Texas. Laughter and fresh air and water being the best medicine, you can usually find Jessica hiking, whitewater kayaking, and laughing — mostly she says, at herself. She enjoys fine dining, music, and moonlit walks along the beach.
